Sewer Plant

At the sewer plant I learned about what they do to help the community. At the plant they clean the water and decotaminate it, all the water in the city is moved through the plant, so anything that goes down your drains, pipes, or toilets goes to the plant and it cleans out the water, taking all the things that is sent with the water, like paper, toys, particles, etc., and sends it back through the system and is used again. So its like we recycle water and reuse it again. It's also sent through a disinfect area, where small living organisms ea the bacteria and stuff our of the water so it doesn't cause people to get sick. I never knew we had a sewer plant here in Eaton Rapids, it was fasinating to watch the sewer system in action, but it smelt terrible. And the organisms that are used for the process are multiplied daily, so the workers at the plant have to dispose of so many organisms so they don't over multiply the system.

Recycling is very important, it's a way to help our environment physically and stop from pollutants spreading across the community. What recycling does is a way to reuse things we've already used, and keep this process going over and over again so that the earth and environment gets healthier. I recycle and will keep recycling because I feel important and an asset to the earth by going green and helping our environment improve everyday.
